When I turned 55, I sort of wondered if I looked like my face felt. Looking in the mirror just does not tell us what we look like to others. It’s especially tough after age 50.
Women are maybe worse than men about it.
When I turned 55, I saw myself as sort of cute but wrinkled.
My face needed more glow, you know…
For younger, healthier and softer skin, I knew I had to start an exfoliating routine pretty much yesterday! But, it is never too late to exfoliate!
I was ready to say good-bye to wrinkles.
Exfoliating the face is tricky business. Be careful to use
- mild products that gently remove dead skin cells. For glowing skin, micro-derm abrasion is necessary, but it must be gentle, especially around the eyes
- natural products that contain ingredients such as anti-oxidants for their anti-aging effects
Repair, Nourish, And Hydrate
After doing a little reading, it was clear that I had to do more than just scrub my face for the youthful glow I wanted. What we call aging is not necessarily old age. It begins at 20-something if we do not take care of our skin with products that not only remove dead cells so that our skin can breathe, but also products that repair, nourish and hydrate. Easier said than done because so many products actually just clog the skin, i.e. parabins, sophates, and other harsh chemicals.
Natural Restorative Radiant Skin
Collegen and elastic fibers in our skin deteriorate but our body is so wonderfully made by our Creator, that it is constantly renewing, revitalizing and rejeuvenating itself.
So Lord Jesus, why the wrinkles, the fine lines, and the sagging in my face? Simple – I wasn’t taking care of what the Creator gave me – wonderful skin.
All of us have wonderful skin. So what are we doing wrong?
What’s the problem… ?
Well, just to name a few…
- environmental stress
- smoking
- too much UV exposure
- pollution
What’s the solution… ?
Well, just to name a few…
- Powerful Antioxidants – also provided by our Creator, as well as
- Vitamins – especially Vitamins A, C and E – nutrition for the skin
